It takes an artist to paint a village
The images in the traditional illustration section are paintings that were created for commercial use in print publications, packaging design, and advertisements. Commercial work requires an artist to translate concepts into visuals that clearly communicates the essence of a message to a broad audience. This aspect of illustration training has helped me develop all other areas of my artwork and design. In the best of circumstances, commercial artwork has the potential to move people in ways that elevate their spirit. This has always been my primary intention across all my work, from the concept stage to the intended audience and larger impact.
Born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, I studied Illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. My artwork has been on exhibit at the Society of Illustrators in New York and other galleries and private collections. As a commercial illustrator, my artwork has been reproduced on book covers and other publications.
